Meeting Minutes (01/17/14)

Tessi will be hosting Poetry classes starting January 20th
Every Monday at 11am PST/1pm CST/2pm EST
Classes will focus on format, with a lecture about the format, then class time given to write and present their poems
The class’s favorite poet will receive a small troupe bag.
Some classes will be open floor - perhaps for Holidays or special events.
Lunar New Year quest will be worked on next week by Joeker and implemented by the last week on January.

Will be every 8 Deoches
Mundanes placed at Loures will give a gift box with various items: exp/ap bonus stack, light neck raffles, spirit pet
This will mark the start of the Age of Fire, in celebration of Hwarone’s fire spirit.
Fireworks will occur January 31st at Loures.
An exp/ap weekend will occur from January 31-February 3
Arena Event - Mileth vs Rucesion February 1st (Time subject to change)

Jesein: Portraits of the Gods who have none (Cail, Luathas and Sgrios), to be submitted as game content viewable when players speak with the Monk Guide/Cail, Wizard Guide/Luathas, and Sgrios Temple Attendant/Sgrios.

Jesein: Working on new Maps: “Pravat Mountain”. Zone will be located west of Piet by a path that leads up to a mountain peak. Main enemies in zone will be harpies that I will design. Harpies will have the ability to throw players. Players who step off the path will be knocked back to the previous map. Harpie Queen boss at the mountain peak who gives a Bag of Stolen Loot once a group slays it. Bag will have materials for skills pre ab 40 and medenian armors and weapons pre ab 40 (complete list to be determined). Intending it to be ab 1-39 hunting grounds that are significantly easier to hunt than Muisir. (Easy enough for 20k hp). Normal Harpies will have a chance to drop any item required for pre ab 40 skills and spells (complete list to be determined).

DuenanKnute suggested having an event sometime that is a race across Temuair starting at Loures.
Fragile peasant “gatekeepers” could be kept who watch a clock and at a set time the gate “opens” revealing a clue to the next gate.
Monster cloak won’t be an issue since the players will have to wait on the gate to open to reveal the clue.
The race would not rely on speed, but on knowledge of Temuair.
Clues could be vague to lead to random paths, ex. “find the lady mundane in pink”
Prizes: gold and legend mark
Jesein: Added “PENDING” list to the very bottom of the Foreign Board (scroll to bottom).
This is for easy reference of things which are pending approval by Kru, (or which require “reminders” to kru ;P).
Proposal: DA is famously unkind to new players. This can be remedied if we revamp
the intro. As it stands, new players have no idea what they’re playing(or sometimes HOW to play, as proven in some online reviews). We should create an “intro” storyline to the story arc of Darkages. Obviously the main antagonist of Darkages has always been Chadul. This should be stressed in the intro. Currently, even the veterans of Darkages think they’re in an ambiguous world with no real story. This is not true. (BA Robots…we should figure a story for those too ..somehow x.X) Revamping the intro should greatly boost in game roleplaying as well, which invites more activity and interest from the community for Troupe events and may slightly increase player population. More can be discussed at next meeting. -Jesein

Tutorial Remodeling
Pending feedback from Kru before major progress is made
Idea: Making the intro to Darkages into a storyline that gives new players a feel for what their purpose is in Temuair now that they have a spark, as well as how the combat system works (Include details about runes) and then guidance on where their journey begins (Temple of Choosing).
Players will get a chance to try 5 premade characters (level 99 non master), one of each class so they can make their decision before going to the Temple of Choosing on what class they want to be. They will test their premade character out in a dream which introduces Danaan and Chadul (The storyline).

Algiza will be less active for the next 1-2 months (moving)

Meeting Minutes (03/07/14)

No more GM support: future operations will be held as if we have no contact with the mundanes
Arena Legend Mark ticket re-bumped. Still no word on that.
Duenan's gatekeeper event is nearly completed, should be good to go next month.
Proposed active recycling of past events that we can hold without special privileges. Poetry night, Aisling Chef, Soccer, Comedy Hour, etc. Events could be hosted on a bi-weekly or monthly basis.
Continue working on bigger events in hopes that we will have mundane support again in the future. There were times sited in the past in which the troupe has operated under it's own volition, and we should not abandon hope of being supported once the new GM settles into their position.
Algiza claims Paramour as her advocate.

Paramour and Jesein are highly interested in doing this.
We can discuss this more next week at the meeting.
Paramour will be taking a break for two weeks.
Welcome Suikaza, he will be mentored by Jesein.
Venezia’s auctions have amassed 280m so far.
Ideas of what to use the funds for:
Event prizes.
Helping new or low leveled players with purchasing items.
Paying players for their services, like gem polishing, creant killings, etc, for misfortunate Aisling’s that cannot afford the help.
Discussed holding out some items that might be donated, like creant and master sets to be used to give to other players.
Expanding on the idea of helping players, we discussed that we could find new aislings or and mentor them, help them in whatever way we can to let them get the full experience of the game without relying on clovers, starfish, host bags or boxes for fast leveling.
Perhaps have an honor system, or weekly check-ins.
Other types of auctions discussed:
Aisling auction: Bid for a date! (Thanks to Tir na Nog’s previous event for the idea)
Jesein will be hosting more classes weekly.
These will be debate classes based on topics.

Trans-Temuairian Race rescheduled
Algiza gone for two weeks. Good luck with the move!
Emiko starting Poetry Nights at Suomi Fountain, Saturday’s, 6pm est
Jabedin and Emiko working on animated short series.
Follows new player as though the world is real for him, and not others around him.
Still need volunteers for voiceovers.

Emiko would like to move Poetry After Dark to a classroom, since the first meeting had low turn out in Suomi. (Need a literature teacher for this)

Algiza will be back shortly, coming to the end of her move. (April 11th)
Paramour will return by April 18th.
Emiko is unable to find hosting for Poetry class, Algiza likely to assist upon her return.
Jesein and Emiko will hold collaborated classes in Philosophy at varying times every Friday.
KafZiel still unreliable due to health complications.
Firewind proposes hosting Duenan's "Kobolds ate my Baby!" event next weekend. (April 12th)
KafZiel has pledged guild support for running the event.
Jesein and Emiko's cartoon will be announced and release upon the end of Duenan's event. (April 12th)

No progress made on the cartoon. However it was decided that the main character would not have a voice. So the cartoon can now move forward at least.
