Date Auction - Auction off Aislings for a "date" - hunt, chitchat, questing, whatever. Other visited thoughts; auctioning off portraits with your dream person or auctioning off a dream wedding/vacation.
Love Sonnet / Sing Off - Aislings create love sonnets or sing off parodies around the idea of love or heart break. Audience votes for a winner. Material should be prepared in advance but not required.
Do you know your partner? - New concept introduced during meeting. Accept volunteers to be asked questions to answer about their significant other and see how well they know one another.
Dating Game - A bachelor or bachelorette has to guess the pre-determined identities of 3 suitors. Or audience has to guess the identities of the 3 suitors.
Love Battle - One girl, two suitors of rival guilds. The rivals fight until last man standing for the girl! Would require an Arena Host to set up the battle. (OR) Use soccer field to compete.
Love Scavenger Hunt - Create riddles/poems to send Aislings on a scavenger hunt.

Kiss the Cook - Iron Chef type idea
Contestants cook a meal using ingredients of their own, but will have to improvise in a surprise ingredient announced at the time of the event and given time to prepare
Prizes to be provided from a pool that winners can pick from

Reworked a bit to avoid cheating:
Host, Couple (A & B, for example), and 3 Respondants
Respondants and one couple member (A) in a group.
Host asks a question of the grouped couple member (A).
Grouped member (A) provides correct answer and which respondant is to provide it.
All three respondants provide an answer, two are intentionally incorrect.
Ungrouped member (B) has to guess which respondant provided the correct answer for a point.
5 questions per couple (though variable depending on participation).
Most points wins.
Love Battle
Two teams hosted in arena battle. Premise is they are fighting on behalf of two suitors for a maiden's hand? Description to be detailed by Claudine.

Festival of Hearts II Recap:
Kiss the Cook: 4 participants. solid size crowd. Well done overall.
Date Auction: 5 Aislings Auctioned, 1 Portrait Auctioned. About 800m raised.
Know Your Lover: 2 Couple Participated, Ailred needed help and received it from Justice; so 3 in total. Ailred and Justice won, too. Ha. New event but seemed to do well.
Love Battle: Great turn out. 15 vs 15. 2 hr, 15 min event. 15 gold bars given out to winning team. Plus Arena Master Host Encourage gave all participants a win, so solid xp on top of that. Definitely repeatable.
All-in-all; well done, well executed. Great teamwork.

Discussing 23rd - Okay for me, Xiao, Thii - times up until 5pm EST. Possibly do first event early to include Thii, depending on everyone else. Events between 11am-1pm EST best for Thii, try to do one early to include her
Events - Pet race, Shrink Soccer, discussed last meeting with Topic - classroom event, questions with answers in gaelic, like srad sal etc as examples.
XiaoLei is working on this lecture.
Dyed armours, I will do some rogue/wizard armours. Kourika to dye priest. We can keep track in discord chat what armours we've dyed.
Pet race location - Possibly Undine bridge, will try that out. If not, where Knight building is.
Checked we can get the ball for the soccer ball. Need to make lots of shrink potions, I can do this.
Need to write up post for Error to post to DarkAges.com
Tentative 4th idea if possible - catch a leprechaun, similar to the pig roast event. EITHER someone dressed in green (ZELLS) with a beard, OR, use a shrink pot to be tiny leprechauns. Aislings need to be the first to trade the leprechaun some alcohol.
Possibly use a ranger - so they can warp and make it more difficult. DK has volunteered for that.
Kourika - "Hmm, in Soviet Termuair, aislings catch rangers."
"Come one, come all, are you tired of Rangers chasing you down? Then come join our event where you get to chase them instead!"

We have been discussing the possibility of hosting an Easter event in forms of small games.
Suggestions:
* Treasure hunt, we hide items into critters and send the Aislings to collect them.
Plamit missive eggs would go well with the Easter theme.
* Angry Peasants from Undine invasion. *Concept - XiaoLei
This will be discussed more at the next upcoming meeting.
The time window is yet to be discussed.

Continued discussion and development regarding the Easter event.

Events:
-Egg/treasure hunt:
* We hide colored eggs under other items instead of inside creatures.
* Event is set in Suomi village and will a treasure hunt in the dark with a lantern for each participant.
* Ticket has been sent to KRU for colored eggs and lanterns. -Claudine
* Ishikawa will help to provide the darkness effect.
* Among the 12 hidden eggs, there will be 2 golden eggs for a grand prize - suggestion 1 gold bar each golden egg.
- No main host set yet
- Undine peasant's rebellion (Name suggestion?)
* History lecture about the situation in Undine. XiaoLei and Claudine will see to that one are written.
* After the class, we'll have a mob of angry peasants waiting as people leave the classroom. The angry mob will march to Loures castle and complain about various issues.
-Main host: Teacher of the class.
* We need as many as possible to help with creating a peasant or several to make the mob large.

Schedule of event May 11th (EST):
1 pm: Welcome followed by Lecture in Mileth college (History classroom).
After class, the Peasant revolt is directly followed, starting in Mileth College area.
The peasants will march through temuair and have Loures castle as their final destination.
The revolt ends with the Floppy hop dance (lead by DuenanKnute)
- Hosts XiaoLei (lecture) DuenanKnute (Floppy hop dance) Everybody as peasants.
3 pm: Pet Race (Loures)
- Hosts Claudine and Serrah
5 pm: Egghunt in the dark (Suomi)
Gigant floppys have laid their eggs around Suomi and hidden them well.
To save the grape and cherry farms from danger, we'll need aislings help to find all the eggs.

7 pm: Catch the flag (Suomi)

Next meeting we will start practicing.

More work on lecture, check out through the week - XiaoLei and Claudine (mostly Xiao she's way better at it)
Event post written, checked by all, Claudine to ticket to Kru to ask to post on website.
Checked making maps dark, due to lamplight issues, settled on using Oren Island.
Discussed with Justice earlier in week, Catch the Flag still possible without adjustments from kru so go ahead.
Pet Race to be Undine Bridge.
Possibly dye various coloured outfits for fun again.
No meeting next week, it's event time!

How well did it go, what was successful and well received? Rebellion - good feedback, people loved the lecture, people joined in with the roleplay of the rebellion. Brilliant event. Criticism - Catch the Flag, we'd planned to use CTF but unregged couldnt enter, last minute switch to arena with Gargoyle hosting - lack of PVP, Garg did will with what she could, lack of players made is a struggle to balance, so ended with no kill. Ideas - Ticket Kru to request/ask if CTF area can be made so unregged can enter, possibly balance the hp/mp - we can host more events as still have the trinket to summon/boxes etc there. Egg hunt - very well received, positive feedback for the event, people who came loved the easter eggs Kru created. Loved the idea of the dark and using lanterns Mileth Fair - Laurier LF troupe help to open the fairgrounds. Ideas; 3 day Festival - Talgonite Chef, Comedy Night, Poetry Hour, art class - perhaps DK, if not there is plenty of teachers we have available. Fri, Sat, Sun. HyBrasyl chef! - improv, we provide the ingredients, contestants need to make up a dish from the ingredients we provide. Looking at different classes - start in the College, bring to Mileth Fair - interactive lessons perhaps. Riddle quest - undecided Joust/dueling - Duenan Duenan - art class Laurier - hyb chef Serrah - comedy night, pun master XiaoLei & Zells - poetry hour Claudine - lit class, 3 word story Troupe to be fair committee. Look at a legend mark possibly as incentive for attending all 3 days of the Fair. Look at reducing prizes we are giving out at events - next event and future. HarryTipper's idea - take most popular event, see if we can get some sort of champion item for most popular event, draw crowds. Mull over - see what we think next week. Zells is going to take a break  Any QOL updates, I am going to produce another fetch quest. Asked if we can all make a sort of outline for the events we will all handle. Will create a thread. |
